 2020 Street Reconstruction Project Construction Update
In the Beacon Heights area on Kirkwood Lane, 12th Avenue and Magnolia Lane (Phase 1) the contractor is backfilling behind curb Thursday and Friday of this week. The contractor plans restoration on the backside of curb next week with black dirt and sod to follow. Kirkwood Lane south of 12th Avenue is set to be paved prior to the 4th of July holiday weekend. Water services and storm sewer were installed on Magnolia Lane (Phase 2) and 11th Avenue, 12th Avenue and Oakview Lane (Phase 1). Grading is set to begin on Monday, June 21st and will take a week to complete. On Oakview Lane (Phase 2) water main installation has been completed. Water service installation will begin early next week with storm sewer work to follow.
Water main installation is anticipated on 15th Avenue Friday of this week or early next week, starting from Rosewood Lane and working to the east. The contractor plans for watermain installation on Pineview Lane late next week or early into the following week. Grading of the roadway on Ives Lane begins Thursday and Friday of this week, with curb and gutter scheduled for next week. On Forestview Lane, pipework will be completed on Friday of this week. The contractor will start building the roadway section on Monday through Wednesday of next week, with installation of curb and gutter to follow.
Curb and gutter placement has been completed on East Medicine Lake Blvd and 30th Avenue. The contractor plans to do final roadway grading early next week with base course paving to begin mid to later in the week.
