MPCA BF - New Email Address for Applications

The MPCA Brownfields Program now has an email address for Brownfield Applications and the reports that accompany the applications. That email address is Brownfields@PCA.state.mn.us.  Please begin using this immediately for all Brownfields Applications for any site requesting services from VIC, PBP or both.

 

The subject line of each email sent to the mailbox should start out with the site name or preferred site name, followed by the report type.  For example, “ Union Depot – Brownfields Application” or “Union Depot - Phase I Report”, etc. Do not include social security numbers on any forms. Do not send applications or accompanying reports directly to Brownfield staff as this will cause a delay in processing your application.  Once you receive an email listing the staff member(s) working on the site, then you may send any subsequent documents to them.

 

Do not use the general Brownfields email address for site-specific questions regarding existing Brownfield sites.

 

Here are some frequently asked questions regarding electronic submittals:

  • Can I send multiple attachments when submitting an electronic report?
    • All reports should be submitted as a single electronic document in the .pdf format. This includes report text, signature page, tables, figures and appendices.
  • Is a scanned signature in the electronic submittal required?
    • If there is a signature page in a report, a scanned signature must be included in the electronic document.
  • Is there a limit to a file size for a report?
    • Technically no, but the MPCA’s email server can only receive up to 25 mb file sizes. If the file cannot be emailed due to size, a CD is acceptable.
