The National Crude Oil Spill Research Site
is entering its 27th year. Researchers from all across the globe have studied
many different aspects associated with a terrestrial crude oil spill. It is now
time to expand the knowledge and conversation by including those directly
affected by this research. This presentation is aimed at bringing together
researchers, consultants, petroleum and pipeline industry representatives and
pollution control officials.

latest research, tour the site and hear of exciting upcoming
opportunities.

Attend an informal sharing night and
enjoy some pizza and lively conversation as all the researchers gather and give
brief presentations on their work at the site. This informal event has
been taking place for over ten years and always sparks a lot of interest as we
delve into the latest projects and trends at the site.

The “National Crude Oil Spill Fate
and Natural Attenuation Research Site” is sponsored by Enbridge Energy, USGS,
MPCA and Beltrami County. The sponsors provide grants for research
conducted at the site and are working with API and industry to develop a
national symposium to bridge the gap between researchers and real world
situations. This discussion will include details of the grants available and
the plans for a national symposium.
