Abbott Draft Air Permit - Public Meeting

This is a reminder:

MPCA will hold a public information meeting on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the Abbott Northwestern Hospital draft air permit. The meeting will be held at The Center for Changing Lives, 2400 Park Ave. S. in Minneapolis. It will begin with a short presentation, followed by time for questions and answers until 8:00 p.m. 

Abbott Northwestern Hospital is proposing a change to its current air permit to allow a change in back-up fuels, as well as include space heating equipment and an emergency generator for the new lab area. 

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is seeking comments on a draft air emissions permit for Abbott Northwestern Hospital, located at 800 28th St. E. in Minneapolis. The public comment period runs from Dec. 7, 2012 to Jan. 22, 2013.  

The public notice, draft air permit, technical support document and the permit application for Abbott are available on the MPCA’s Cumulative Impacts Air Permitting in South Minneapolis webpage.  

Comments on the draft air emissions permit must be received in writing at the MPCA by 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 22, 2013. Send comments, requests and petitions to:

Additional materials relating to the issuance of this permit are available for review by appointment at the MPCA, 520 Lafayette Road N. in St. Paul, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
