Abbott Northwestern Hospital – Air Permit – Update

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is seeking comments on a draft air emissions permit for Abbott Northwestern Hospital, located at 800 28th St. E. in Minneapolis. The public comment period runs from Dec. 7, 2012 to Jan. 22, 2013.
Abbott Northwestern Hospital is proposing a change to its current air permit to allow a change in back-up fuels, as well as include space heating equipment and an emergency generator for the new lab area.
The public notice, draft air permit, technical support document and the permit application for Abbott are available on the MPCA’s Cumulative Impacts Air Permitting in South Minneapolis webpage.
A public information meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the draft permit. The meeting will be held at The Center for Changing Lives, 2400 Park Ave. S. in Minneapolis. It will begin with a short presentation, followed by time for questions and answers until 8:00 p.m.
Comments on the draft air emissions permit must be received in writing at the MPCA by 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 22, 2013. Send comments, requests and petitions to:
