MPCA to announce significant change in condition of the Minnesota River

Event: The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) will discuss the results of testing done in late summer on the Minnesota River. The findings show a significant environmental change in what has been considered one of Minnesota’s most polluted waterways. Details and context will be provided.

Who: Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Commissioner John Linc Stine, Metropolitan Council Chairwoman Susan Haigh, Metropolitan Council Environmental Services General Manager Leisa Thompson, and MPCA Water Monitoring Supervisor Glenn Skuta

When: Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at 10:30 a.m.

Where: Blue Lake wastewater treatment plant located at 6957 Highway 101, Shakopee
