Under the Minnesota Electronics Recycling Act, the Pollution Control Agency
may provide financial assistance to increase and improve opportunities in
Minnesota to collect and recycle covered electronic devices. [ Minn. Stat. § 115A.1314, subd. 2(b)].
The funding is dependent upon the availability of funds that
accrue through recycling fees paid by manufacturers who do not meet their
program-year recycling obligation.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is requesting proposals from
qualified responders to conduct, on behalf of the MPCA, a third-party analysis
of the end markets for collected Minnesota household e-waste.
The MPCA has approximately $50,000 for a contract with the responder
identified by the Request for Proposals (RFP) Review Team as best meeting the
evaluation criteria stated in this RFP.
The due date for proposals is Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. Central
Time. Proposals must be electronically submitted to
contracts.pca@state.mn.us (subject line: “CR 5544 E-Waste Analysis”).
