I've had the opportunity to take on some really challenging projects that pushed me out of my comfort zone. Because of this, I am more comfortable with difficult projects and approach challenges with more enthusiasm. I've also seen the inner workings of various organizations such as counties, nonprofits, regional development organizations, food shelves, and much more, which has really expanded my understanding of the world. ~Jack, West Central Initiative
This has been such a great and unique opportunity to become a well-rounded professional, and I’ve been really grateful for the opportunities I’ve taken advantage of. I’ve gotten a lot of experience learning how to approach issues, especially environmental issues, from a very intersectional approach. ~Zach, Carver County
Operation of the 2026-2027 program year is contingent on receiving funds from AmeriCorps. The number of new members for the 2026-2027 program year and length of their service will depend on continued federal funding.
