June 30, 2012: Deadline for buying and selling pounds

Program year 5 ends June 30, 2012. Transactions between registered manufacturers and recyclers/collectors for pounds of recycled covered electronic devices (CED) must be completed before July 1, 2012.

Under Minnesota law, registered manufacturers, collectors and recyclers must make their own connections to buy and sell pounds of CED before the deadline. Recycling obligation for manufacturers is 80% by weight of VDD sales to Minnesota households.

Formal reporting by manufacturers of these transactions will be due to the Minnesota Department of Revenue on September 1, 2012.

Please visit Registered Stakeholders: Current for a list of administrative contacts and Buying and selling pounds for more information.

Also visit the NCER Online Clearinghouse to post and browse listings for available recycled pounds of Minnesota household covered electronic devices.  Please email clearinghouse@electronicsrecycling.org with additional questions.
