IF YOU OR YOUR COMPANY  TESTS, REPAIRS, OR INSTALLS  CATHODIC  PROTECTION SYSTEMS ON UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK SYSTEMS IN MINNESOTA, PLEASE DO NOT DELETE THIS MESSAGE!!

Dear Contractor:

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) recently updated the cathodic protection  (CP) testing forms and procedures for the testing, repair, and installation of cathodic protection systems on underground storage tank systems.  The new forms are available on our website at: http://www.pca.state.mn.us/index.php/waste/waste-and-cleanup/waste-management/tank-compliance-and-assistance/underground-storage-tanks-ust/underground-storage-tank-ust-systems.html?menuid=&redirect=1  The new CP forms are about half way down the web page under the “Cathodic Protection Systems” section.

The new CP forms will be required for the upcoming CP testing season in 2012.  The MPCA is also in the process of creating a CP guidance manual to assist CP professionals in the use of the new forms and procedures which will be available on the same website above in the near future.  The MPCA will notify you when this manual is available online.

The MPCA would like to invite you to attend an informational meeting so we can explain the new forms and procedures and answer any questions you may have.  As you can see below, we are offering two meeting dates. Both meetings will consist of the same presentation and content, so attending one session is all that is needed.

Who should attend:  Those who test, repair, or install  cathodic protection systems on underground storage tanks (galvanic and impressed current systems).

Dates/times:     Wednesday, February 29, 2012   From 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (we will begin promptly at 1:00 pm)
