Rural drinking water options meeting

On August 12, the MPCA, DNR, Minn. Department of Health, and Washington County hosted a forum for communities that are currently served by private wells only. The presentation from this meeting is available on the Drinking Water Supply subgroup webpage. This meeting was also recorded by the South Washington County Telecommunication Commission and you can watch on their YouTube channel.

In February 2018, the state of Minnesota and the 3M Company settled their lawsuit regarding natural resource damages associated with a group of chemicals known as PFCs. 3M has made a grant of $850 million as a condition of the settlement to address two priorities in the east metro area. Priority 1 is safe drinking water and groundwater sustainability. Priority 2 is restoring and enhancing natural resources.
