Job Summary

The position will support the Agency's Environmental Justice program, working to assist efforts in implementing the EJ framework across Agency programs, and support and advance external engagement efforts focused on EJ communities. Duties will include: assembling/maintaining EJ-relevant tools and resources to assist program staff in developing community involvement plans (e.g., community and advocacy organization  information  sheets, community-based media lists, materials for internal communication/training/translation and interpretation resources, etc.); supporting the coordination of EJ Advisory Group meetings and other programs/trainings/events; assisting in the development of media messages, fact sheets, and other communication materials. Position may also attend community environmental events, and coordinate other staff to attend, to show an MPCA presence.

The position is envisioned as a 20 hour/week position beginning in July, ending in early September; we may adjust hours (fewer weekly hours for a longer duration) as appropriate.  Pay range starts at $14.15/hr.
