Lake Nokomis Boat Launch Closing for Season

The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board is closing the Lake Nokomis boat launch for the season effective 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, November 26.

Ice has covered the boat launch and more than 50 percent of the lake. With below freezing temperatures predicted for the next few days, ice will continue to form.

The public boat launches at Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet will continue to be open through December 1 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
