Register Now for the Rec Plus Summer 2013 and 2013-2014 School Year Program

The Rec Plus school-age childcare program is now taking applications for its summer 2013 and school year 2013-2014 program.

Parents and guardians should contact their desired Rec Plus site for fees, availability and complete registration information. School year fees are determined by a child’s school start and end times. Partial fee assistance can be requested by qualified Minneapolis residents upon availability.

The summer and school year program is offered Monday-Friday at 19 Minneapolis recreation centers:

The Rec Plus program includes active play, sports, arts and craft, naturalist programming, field trips, self-directed play and nutritious snacks.

Rec Plus Program Options:

  • Before School: 7-8:40 am
  • Before School: 7-9:40 am
  • After School: 2-6 pm
  • After School: 3:10-6 pm
  • Release Days: 7 am-6 pm
  • Summer: 7:00 am-6 pm

Rec Plus focuses on three goals:

  1. Providing parents with affordable recreation based school-age care in local park centers.
  2. Enabling children to experience positive benefits of a balanced recreation program.
  3. Providing a safe environment for children that promotes healthy physical and social development.
