What's a BioBlitz?
Naturalists from the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) and local experts provide guidance to identify all kinds of organisms, including:
- Insects - Birds - Plants & Trees - Mammals - Fungi - Aquatic invertebrates - Reptiles & amphibians - and more

Join friends, neighbors and others (you don't have to be a scientist!)

Explore and discover the biodiversity of Minneapolis parks

Collaborate with local experts and naturalists from the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB)

Identify as many plants, animals, and organisms as possible

Use microscopes, magnifying glasses, binoculars and other provided tools

Create a snapshot of the variety of life at a specific place and point in time

Contribute valuable data for scientists and researchers

All ages are welcome - youth under 14 must be accompanied by an adult
