Corcoran Park improvements: fall update
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is pleased to report that construction on a second phase of improvements at Corcoran Park is mostly complete.

The new basketball court and repaved paths near the recreation center are complete and available for use.

The playing field upgrades and re-seeding are complete. The field will remain fenced until next spring or early summer, to allow grass to fully establish.
- The project's remaining feature, the picnic/performance shelter, will be constructed this winter and completed next spring.
Next spring, everyone's invited to a Corcoran Park grand opening to celebrate the new features and the playground constructed in 2023. We'll send details when they are confirmed!

Every neighborhood deserves a great park.
Corcoran Park improvements are funded by the 20-Year Neighborhood Park Plan, a historic 2016 agreement between MPRB and the City of Minneapolis. NPP20 helps address racial and economic equity across 160+ neighborhood parks and provides more than $13 million annually to maintain, repair and replace facilities.
