The Pollinator Party returns to Lyndale Park Gardens!

Join us on Thursday, July 24 from 5pm to 8pm and take pollinators under your wing

People of all ages are invited to join bees, scientists, beekeepers, musicians, artists, food purveyors and a host of exhibitors at The Pollinator Party. This FREE event - back for the first time since 2019! - celebrates the life and work of honey bees, native bees and other pollinators.

When: Thursday, July 24 from 5pm to 8pm

Where: Lyndale Park Gardens

northeast of Lake Harriet, near the Phelps Fountain. (4125 East Lake Harriet Parkway)

What: Activities, food, music and much more

  • This year we’re celebrating the bees and the birds: Take pollinators under your wing!
  • Learn about wild bees and honey bees
  • Picnic in the park: food for purchase from Taco Taxi
  • Live music from Zaq Baker & Corzine, and the Brass Messengers

  • Kids can collect stamps from exhibitors to earn a cone of ice cream made with honey (adults may purchase!)
  • Meet a bird of prey from the U of MN Raptor Center
  • Discover the wild bees of the park – go on a pollinator walk with Heather Holm
  • Make art with folks from the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia)
  • Make pollinator seed bombs with Monarch Joint Venture
  • Get up close with honey bees: search for the queen bee in an observation hive
  • Go birding with Rob Blair (some binoculars available to share)
  • Learn about Bee Lawns with Metro Blooms
  • Learn how to help our endangered state bee with the U of MN Pollinator Ambassadors

Plus hands-on learning from many more exhibitors, including:
