Brackett Park is hosting an evening of fun for dogs and their owners, Thursday June 5 beginning at 5:30pm!

Pup Parade
Brackett Park hosts a "Pup Parade" on Thursday, June 5, 5:30-7:30 pm followed by a Movie in the Park, "Mustafa: The Lion King" at dusk!
Join us for our annual Parade to celebrate Pets and their owners! Line up for the Parade starts at 6:00 pm!
All ages are invited to walk the parade route around Brackett Park with their pet or find a place on the route and watch the parade that starts near the picnic tables!
People can also enjoy pet-related vendors, food, bounce house, face painting, pictures with their pet and more! Vendors include the City of Minneapolis, Pet Haven, Animal Control, Book Buggie, and a park naturalist.
Movie in the Park will follow at dusk with "Mustafa: The Lion King." Outdoor bathrooms will be open during the movie.
Please note Brackett Recreation Center will be closed to all regular activities on June 5.
Pet Supply Donation Drive
This year we added a donation drive of pet supplies to help pet rescues and shelters. Bring your items to the Parade or drop them off at Brackett Recreation Center when it's open: Monday-Friday, 3-8 pm, and Saturday 12-5 pm.
Acceptable pet (Dog and Cat) supplies include the following new and barely used items:
- Crate-sized blankets (all sizes)
- Bagged or canned non-perishable food
- Leashes, collars, leads
- Brushes, clothing, bowls, and toys
Please leave in donation bins and we will distribute to agencies in need after the event.
