Fall Nature Play Groups

Get young inquisitive minds and bodies exploring nature and socializing with peers!

 

Learn and grow together with your little one while exploring and having fun outside with other children and their grownups. Each day offers opportunities for observing, following curiosity, and sensory investigation during this outdoor exploration time!

These are Adult/Child interactive programs intended to encourage learning in participants of every age. Select a location below to register!

 

Audubon Park

Longfellow Gardens at Minnehaha Park

Theodore Wirth Park

WEDNESDAYS September 11 - October 30 from 10:30-11:30am

Powderhorn Park (Español Bilingüe)

The naturalist leading this program will be speaking in both English and Spanish throughout the hour.

Add a little nature exploration to your outdoor play at the park playground!

 

Each week a Neighborhood Naturalist will have an area of nature activities set up alongside the playground in your neighborhood park. 

This is an unstructured DROP-IN public program with an early childhood focus. No registration is necessary.

Neighborhood Naturalist Program

 

The Minneapolis Parks’ Neighborhood Naturalist program offers nature-based,
outdoor, and environmental education experiences throughout parks city-wide.
Park Naturalists aim to connect people in Minneapolis with nearby nature
using curiosity, joy, and community to empower learning.
