Sports officials wanted! Receive training and get hired at free officiating clinics this spring!
 The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is hiring sports officials right now for the spring/summer season. Sports include sand volleyball, softball, baseball, kickball and soccer.
Why you should become a sports official

Free Walk-In Officials Clinics
Get Trained and Hired in One Night!
At all of these clinics, the first hour will cover rules, expectations, certifications, hiring paperwork and other job requirements inside the recreation center.
During the second hour we'll work through an interactive training session with various game situations and group discussion.
These clinics are free and walk-ins are welcome!
Youth Baseball and Softball Umpires Clinic Wednesday, April 3, 6:30-8:30 pm Linden Hills Recreation Center, 3100 W 43rd St.
Sand Volleyball Officials Clinic Thursday, April 11, 6:30-8:30 pm Bottineau Recreation Center, 2000 2nd St. NE
Adult Soccer Officials Clinic Thursday, April 25, 6:30-8:30 pm Bottineau Recreation Center, 2000 2nd St. NE
Adult Softball and Kickball Umpire Clinics
The Registration Clinics will cover rules, expectations, certification requirements, hiring, paperwork, uniform/equipment, etc. All umpires are required to attend one Registration Clinic.
The Live Training Clinic will be an interactive training session held outside at Bossen Field. Trainings will be in collaboration with the Minneapolis Umpires Association (MUA).
These clinics are free and walk-ins are welcome!

Live Training Clinic
Sunday, May 5, 9 am-5 pm Bossen Field Park, 5701 28th Ave. S
This is for adult softball umpires. Leagues will be going on throughout the day and MUA umpires will be onsite to answer questions, teach proper mechanics, go over rules, make sure you meet the proper uniform and equipment requirements, and most importantly, give new and less experienced umpires the opportunity to gain experience by umpiring actual games while being overseen by an MUA umpire.
All first-year umpires should plan to attend the Live Training Clinic
