The Diamond Sports Facilities Study Technical Advisory Committee Meeting scheduled Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024 has been postponed. Another email will be sent when a new meeting date and time is determined.
Project Background
The Diamond Sports Facilities study will consider and recommend standards on a number of factors affecting the quality of experience for people using diamond sports facilities:
Maintenance standards for each type of facility
Programming, access and use
Permits for recreation use
Distribution of facilities
Implementation of planned facilities, including timelines and funding opportunities
This is the first study in a plan to assess all athletic facilities in the Minneapolis park system and develop strategies for improving them. Studies on field sports, court sports and winter sports will be completed in order after diamond sports.
