Public impacts

  • Project construction timeline is late May 2023 - Spring 2024
  • During construction, the pool area, drinking fountain and sand volleyball court will be closed (the court will be restored when the project is complete)
  • Please keep everyone safe and stay out of fenced construction areas.
  • Nearby wading pools will be available at Cleveland Park and Farview Park when the season begins; check the Pools & Splash Pads Status Map later this spring for seasonal updates on facilities throughout the Minneapolis park system

MPRB will send an update as the start date for construction approaches.

Thanks for your patience and support as MPRB works to improve Minneapolis parks.

Every neighborhood deserves a great park.

Improvements at Jordan Park are funded by the 20-Year Neighborhood Park Plan, a historic 2016 agreement between MPRB and the City of Minneapolis. NPP20 helps address racial and economic equity across 160+ neighborhood parks and provides more than $11 million annually to maintain, repair and replace facilities.
