Painter Park: Trees to be relocated today as part of improvements project

Eight trees at Painter Park will be transplanted to other locations within the park on Tuesday, May 31 (or Wednesday, June 1).

A tree moving service will conduct the work, which was planned and approved as part of the phase 1 improvements project at Painter Park. Transplanting the trees will make way for construction of the park improvements, anticipated to begin later this year. MPRB Forestry staff will water the transplanted trees throughout the growing season.

Per its urban forestry policy, MPRB integrates tree preservation into the design and construction of all MPRB park projects, as well as other development on public land.
