The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) offers a great slate of fun and FREE creative youth activities during Spring Break through the new Spark'd Studios program!
Spark'd Studios are unique destinations at MPRB recreation centers that offer youth hands-on learning opportunities with some of the most innovative technology available. It also gives young people the opportunity to explore exciting opportunities in creative careers.

Whittier Park
We will take photos or use photos you already have and learn how to edit them to eliminate items, correct flaws, and to add artistic flair.
Ages 6-9 April 4, 12:30-2:30 pm
Ages 10-14 April 4, 3-5 pm
Using FL Studios, kids will learn how to create their own beats, remix a song, and record with computerized instruments.
Ages 7-9 April 5, 12:30-2:30 pm

Harrison Park
Learn how to create content for YouTube, TikTok and Instagram that will stand out and away to grow your followers. During this class we will discuss gear, latest techniques, and best methods for consistently making great photos and videos. We will also discuss how you can get paid for your content!
April 5, 1-3 pm Ages 12-18
Powderhorn Park
The new Spark'd Studio recording studio will be open for youth to come in and work with an instructor on music production and recording.
April 5 and April 7, 6-7:30 pm Ages 13-18
Join us in the Spark'd Studio for an afternoon of creative writing. We will start with some fun exercises to get warmed up and then work on written projects around current events.
April 7, 1-3 pm Ages 12-18
Luxton Park
Participate in NBA 2K basketball and FIFA soccer tournaments! Come on down to Luxton to enjoy gaming and hang out with others during Spring Break!
