Extended comment period for Draft Predesign Report

The draft Cedar-Riverside Recreation Center Predesign report from the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is currently available for review and comment. This report explores options for a new recreation center in the western portion of the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood.

The 45-day comment period was originally scheduled to end January 14, 2021; however, it has been extended and a new end date will be announced.

Revisions to Draft Predesign Report in progress

In the coming months, the draft report will be revised to clarify issues around the selection of a site for the new recreation center.

When the revised draft report is complete, the MPRB will announce its release, along with the schedule for a new 45-day comment period for Minneapolis community members, park users, MPRB staff and partners.

About the Cedar-Riverside Recreation Center Predesign project

The project explores options for a new recreation center in the western portion of the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood.

Note: This Predesign project is not a Design and Construction project. Additional funding will be required for design and construction of the recreation center. MPRB will use the Predesign Project Report to apply for State Bond Funds to fund a Design and Construction project.
