Theodore Wirth Parkway resurfacing project delayed several weeks

Construction crews discovered macadam, a no longer used paving technique that can require special disposal

The Theodore Wirth Parkway resurfacing project has been delayed several weeks due to the discovery of macadam, a no longer used paving technique that can require special disposal.

It is expected to take several weeks to properly dispose the macadam, but the parkway sections scheduled to be resurfaced this year will still be completed. See the map below for details on the project schedule.

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board appreciates the public's patience while our public infrastructure is repaired.
