Fuller Recreation Center

Fuller Recreation Center
re-opens Tuesday October 2, following major rehabilitation project

Full rec center

Welcome back! Fall programs resume as scheduled, following the building's closure this summer.

Staff at Fuller Recreation Center are excited to welcome visitors starting Tuesday, October 2. From ceramics, sports and dance classes to "dinner and a movie" nights for younger and older kids, Fuller offers dozens of programs this fall and winter: Browse and register online at MPRB's Activenet website, or stop by the recreation center and talk with staff.

Fuller's re-opening follows a major Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) rehabilitation project that began in July. Thanks to funding from the 20-Year Neighborhood Park Plan (more info below) various building components that were aging, obsolete or no longer functional were repaired or replaced, including:

  • New furnaces and other HVAC improvements
  • Installation of air conditioning
  • New ceilings and LED lighting in some areas
  • Electrical system upgrades

Thank you for your patience during this work to improve Minneapolis recreation centers!

Every Neighborhood Deserves a Great Park.

This work is funded by the 20-Year Neighborhood Park Plan (NPP20), a long-term initiative that provides $11 million annually to maintain, repair and replace facilities and transform Minneapolis’ neighborhood park system.
