With the school year ending today, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is expanding opportunities for summer water activities across the city. Read on for the rundown on hours, locations and other details for MPRB pools, water parks and beaches. 


Webber Natural Swimming Pool: opening June 9! 

Make a splash at the first public swimming pool in North America that treats its water with a natural filtration system, not chemicals

    • Tuesday through Sunday from 1 to 7 p.m. (closed Mondays)

      Water parks: Expanded hours starting June 9

      Enjoy daily hours at both Jim Lupient Water Park in Northeast Minneapolis and North Commons Water Park in North Minneapolis. 

      • Monday through Friday from 1 to 7 p.m; 
      • Saturday - Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

      Beaches: Expanded hours and locations with lifeguards on duty

      Expanded hours for lifeguards begin Saturday, June 9 at the six beaches listed below. Guarded hours and locations can vary throughout the season: Get up-to-date information on the minneapolisparks.org website

       

      General hours at all beaches 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily 

       

      Guarded beaches: noon to 7 p.m. daily

      Guarded beach: noon to 7 p.m., Thursday to Sunday

      Other beaches (no lifeguard on duty) 


        Wading pools: additional locations open June 9

        Dozens of wading pools in Minneapolis neighborhood parks are already open, with hours from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. No lifeguards are on duty. 


        Opening Saturday, June 9: Additional "school site" wading pools located in parks adjacent to a Minneapolis Public School building. For locations, get real-time updates on the pools' seasonal status page. (Note: this page indicates closures for repairs or maintenance. It does NOT indicate short-term closures due to illness or a pool reaching capacity.)
