Leading up to the April 21 grand opening of the Phillips Aquatics Center, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) hosts a week of open-house activities and tours to introduce this one-of-a-kind facility to the community. Come by to learn about all it offers!

Pools: Take a “stay-dry” tour of the 6-lane competition and 4-lane teaching pools.

Programs and lessons: Talk with MPRB staff about swim instruction, lap swim, family swim and other opportunities.

Passes: Learn about admission options and purchase monthly and seasonal passes.

Other amenities: Check out the new community meeting room, fitness center and teen center.

Location
The Phillips Aquatics Center is located inside the Phillips Community Center at 2323 11th Avenue South in Minneapolis. It has its own welcome desk where visitors check in to access locker rooms and the facility’s two pools.
The new four-lane pool is geared to swim instruction.
Save the date: Grand Opening Celebration
Join us for the aquatics center's grand opening on Saturday, April 21. Doors open at 11am, with remarks from Park Board and other local officials beginning at 11:30am.
Enjoy light refreshments and bring your swimming suit to take part in the ceremonial community splash that will open the pools at 1pm!
