Kids' activities, refreshments featured at family-friendly workshops: Tuesday March 6 and Thursday March 8
Can't make it? Review the designs and share your feedback online!
Northside community members have contributed an amazing range of ideas and input on local neighborhood parks over the past eight months. Staff from the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) have been using this information and working with a design team to develop initial concepts for every Minneapolis neighborhood park north of I-394 and west of the Mississippi River. This process is a key part of creating an overall long-term plan known as the North Service Area Master Plan (NSAMP).
Now people are viewing and commenting on the park design concepts at a series of public workshops. Two were held the week of February 26; two more take place on March 6 and 8.
Each park design concept includes options and locations for a range of amenities and activities; most parks have multiple design concepts.
 About the workshops
- Both include kids' activities and refreshments
-
Both have the same format and design concepts for all of the parks on view. You can attend both, but don't need to.

About the North Service Area Master Plan
The North Service
Area Master Plan (NSAMP) will create new, long-term plans for all Minneapolis
neighborhood parks north of I-394 and west of the Mississippi River. NSAMP will
consider how parks are operated, maintained, and improved. It will include plans
for all exterior facilities — athletic fields, playgrounds, trails,
etc. — but not buildings or recreation centers. For more information, visit the project web page.
