Green Team Alumni Intern with Mississippi Watershed Management Organization- Deadline: Today, April 11

To apply, you must have completed two years as a member of the Mississippi River Green Team. The intern will contribute to projects at the MWMO and other related organizations while getting job experience in and learning more about environmentally related careers.

Pathways Internships with Three Rivers Park District- Deadline: Friday, April 13

The Pathways Internship program provides meaningful, hands-on opportunities for students and youth, primarily in the first-tier communities of Hennepin County, to explore the exciting possibilities of a career in parks and recreation.

Three Rivers Park District offers a variety of opportunities through the Pathways Internship program, including Outdoor Education, Recreation, Park Maintenance, Community Engagement and more. Pathways is a paid internship opportunity.

Summer Youth Crew with Conservation Corps- Deadline: Friday, April 13

Summer Youth Corps participants (ages 15-18) add value to their communities, the environment and themselves through their dedicated service. This residential program will engage crew members in a rigorous program of work, education and training. Crew members will work in crews of seven youth and two leaders to participate in 1-2 week environmental restoration “spike” projects. Spike projects are completed outside of the residential base and may include trail construction and maintenance, foot bridge building, landscaping, campsite development and invasive plant removal. Crews will camp in tents and prepare their own meals. All work projects are completed outside, even during hot or cold weather and in rain (except in unsafe conditions such as lightning).

River Educator Fellowship with Mississippi Park Connection- Deadline: Wednesday, April 18

River Educator Fellowship is a collaboration of the National Park Service, Mississippi Park Connection, and Wilderness Inquiry. The selected candidates will be working with National Park Service Rangers and Wilderness Inquiry trail staff in facilitating our Canoemobile Mississippi River Program (formerly UWCA program). Fellows will run educational programs for youth, learn how to stern a voyageur canoe, learn about the natural and cultural history of the river, and have the opportunity to network with multiple environmental agencies.

Crew Leader with Conservation Corps- Deadline: Friday, April 20

Crew Members (ages 18-25) perform natural resource restoration projects with a crew of their adult peers and put those skills into practice engaging Twin Cities youth in after-school service projects and environmental education or completing work at School Forest and Community Forest sites in Minnesota.

Garden Intern with Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board- Deadline: Open until filled

For Green Team alumni! Become a Youth Garden Assistant and participate in the 6-month J.D. River’s Children’s Garden Position! Starting in May, this new opportunity will focus on establishing an extended work and learning experience at J.D. River’s Children’s Gardens. Assistants will have the opportunity to work alongside Garden Educators to build their horticulture, entrepreneurial, communication and leadership skills.  Interns will become mentors to additional Teen Teamwork staff and to younger youth who will participate in educational programming during the summer.  Ultimately Assistant is responsible for planning, planting, harvesting and bringing to market produce for healthy eating.

Seasonal Outreach Educator with Three Rivers Park District- Deadline: Open until filled

As directed, to develop and conduct interpretive nature-based and outdoor recreation programs that will increase the public's awareness of their surrounding environment and foster the appreciation, enjoyment and utilization of Three Rivers Park District facilities. Focus on outreach summer camps that take place for all ages in first-tier communities of Hennepin County. Must have a High School Graduate or Graduate Equivalency Degree (GED) and at least one year of experience or related training OR any combination of education and experience equal to the above. Bachelor's degree in a related area preferred. Must have a valid Minnesota Driver's License.
