Due to weather conditions, overnight closures of northbound Interstate 694 (I-694) scheduled for April 25 and April 26 are cancelled. The northbound I-694 overnight closures are rescheduled for Monday, April 29 from 11pm to 5am on April 30, and Tuesday, April 30 from 11pm to 5am on May 1. Northbound I-694 will close between Interstate 94 and 10th Street. Crews will continue placing girders for the 4th Street bridge in Oakdale. Follow posted detour route. Closure schedules are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances. Ramps will close in advance of the interstate closure.

Downtown St. Paul highlights
Ongoing:
- Crews pour concrete for the station foundations at the 6th Street & Washington Station area.
- This week crews remove pavement and relocate utilities at the 6th Street and Jackson Street station. Next week, crews will excavate the station area followed by construction of the station foundations.
- Crews continue work on Gold Line BRT station platform shelters at the future 6th Street & Minnesota Street, 5th Street & Robert Street, and Rice Park stations.
- Metro Transit is detouring buses traveling on 6th Street in downtown St. Paul to 7th Street.
Traffic:
- Lane closure on the north side of 6th Street between Jackson Street and Robert Street.
- Inside lane closures on 6th Street and St. Peter Street. Pedestrian access will be maintained to businesses.
- Lane closures adjacent to station platforms on 5th Street and 6th Street.

East St. Paul highlights
Upcoming:
- In early May, crews will paint the Etna area bus-only bridge. Expect ramps reduced to one lane at the Etna Street area on Highway 61 on- and off-ramps during this work.
- Next week, expect a southbound inside lane closure on McKnight Road north of I-94.
- In May, crews will close and reconstruct the Old Hudson Road and Hazel Street intersection and Old Hudson Road and Luella Street intersection.
Ongoing:
- Station construction continues near the intersection of Mounds Boulevard and Third Street. Crews install the station platform shelter.
- Crews pour concrete for sidewalks, install lighting, and paint retaining walls along Hudson Road between Maple Street and Johnson Parkway.
- Bridge construction continues at Johnson Parkway as crews construct the bridge decking.
- Crews construct a bus-only bridge over Johnson Parkway near I-94. Pedestrian access along Johnson Parkway under I-94 will be maintained.
- Crews install noise walls, remove pavement, and install storm sewers along Hudson Road between Old Hudson Road and east of Kennard Street.
- At White Bear Avenue, crews continue noise wall and retaining wall construction. Expect additional noise and vibrations as crews pile drive for retaining wall construction.
- Crews install storm sewers and watermain along Old Hudson Road between Ruth Street and McKnight Road.
- Crews install bridge decking near the intersection of McKnight Road and Hudson Road for a pedestrian and bus-only bridge.
- Crews install storm sewers along Hudson Road between McKnight Road and Century Avenue/Highway 120.
Traffic Impacts:
- Through April 29, expect outside lane closures on westbound I-94 between the Highway 61 interchange and Mounds Boulevard.
- Maple Street pedestrian bridge remains closed.
- Hudson Road between Wilson Avenue and Maple Street closes to traffic. Local access to residences will be maintained.
- Hudson Road east of Frank Street to Griffith Street remains closed. Access to properties is maintained from the west to Frank Street.
- Concrete lanes adjacent to Hudson Road are future bus-only lanes for the Gold Line route. They are closed to regular vehicle traffic.
- Johnson Parkway is closed between Wakefield Avenue and Hudson Road underneath Interstate 94. Follow posted detour route via 3rd Street, Etna Street, and Burns Avenue. The closure will remain in effect through June 2024. Pedestrian access along Johnson Parkway under I-94 will be maintained.
- Hudson Road from Old Hudson Road to east of Kennard Street is closed to traffic. Local access is maintained.
- White Bear Avenue is closed until fall 2024 between Old Hudson Road and the eastbound I-94 on- and off-ramps.
- Old Hudson Road is closed between Ruth Street and McKnight Road as crews reconstruct the roadway and install underground utilities. The western driveway access on Old Hudson Road to Sun Ray Shopping Center is closed. Access to Sun Ray Shopping Center is maintained from McKnight Road. Local business access from Ruth Street to Pederson Street is maintained from Ruth Street.

- Crews install storm sewers along Hudson Boulevard, east of Century Avenue/Hwy to Dellwood Lane. Work is paused between Graystone Avenue and Hadley Avenue.
- Crews continue construction of the 4th Street bridge, setting bridge girders, and installing bridge decking. Expect additional noise and lighting overnight during these activities.
- Crews excavate and continue retaining wall construction along 4th Street between Hadley Avenue to Helmo Avenue in Oakdale.
- Crews pave the Helmo Station area and install lighting and signals at the Helmo Avenue and 4th Street intersection.
Traffic impacts:
- Ongoing overnight inside lane closures of Interstate 694 (I-694) between 10th Street and Interstate 94 as crews reconstruct the 4th Street bridge in Oakdale.
- Lane shifts and lane closures near McKnight Road and Hudson Road will continue this spring.
- Century Avenue/Highway 120 is reduced to a single lane in each direction between Innovation Blvd and Brookview Drive, on either side of the I-94 overpass.
- Hudson Boulevard is closed from Century Avenue/Highway 120 to Dellwood Lane and from Greystone Avenue to Hadley Avenue. Access to businesses and the city of Landfall will be maintained from 10th Street and Greenway Avenue. Route 219 will continue to serve Landfall community near Dellwood Lane and Hudson Boulevard.
- 4th Street is closed between Hale Avenue and Hayward Avenue, and from Hayward to just west of Helmo Avenue. The segments of 4th Street will be closed for the 2024 construction season as crews reconstruct the roadway and bridge over I-694. Access to businesses will be maintained via Hayward Avenue. Follow the posted detour route.

Woodbury highlights
Upcoming:
- In early May, crews will install steel for the Tamarack Station shelters.
Ongoing:
- On Guider Drive west of Bielenberg Drive, crews continue to construct the Queens Station, and install underground utility conduits. Crews install a signal system at the intersection of Guider and Bielenberg Drive.
- Construction continues for the new Woodlane Park & Ride near the intersection of Woodlane Drive and Guider Drive. Crews continue to construct the future park & ride structure.
Traffic impacts:
- Guider Drive is closed between Bielenberg Drive and Queens Drive. The eastern driveway entrance to Crown Villa Apartments will is closed. Access is maintained via the western driveway entrance and the middle driveway entrance will be under gravel and be closed intermittently through construction activities. Follow posted detour route via Valley Creek Road and Woodlane Drive.
