2024 State of the Region: Partnerships help ensure a sustainable, competitive region

More than 200 local, regional, and state government officials and business and nonprofit leaders attended the Met Council's State of the Region event on March 22 in Hopkins. In addition to remarks by Chair Charlie Zelle, Vice Chair Reva Chamblis, and new Regional Administrator Ryan O'Connor, a panel of local leaders talked about their expectations for 2050. Met Council creates water supply atlas

The Met Council has created a new water supply planning atlas to help local government planners and elected officials make sound decisions regarding water supply quality and quantity. The atlas explains complex water concepts and science in an easy-to-understand and accessible format, using powerful data, maps, and graphics that both technical and nontechnical readers can understand. Community-led organizations dig into regional policy, make recommendations

Affordable housing, accessible green spaces, economic opportunity, and transit options and community spaces accessible to youth are on the minds of residents in Shakopee, Minneapolis, and other cities in the region as they think about current needs and the future of our region. Community organizations made policy recommendations to the Met Council in March.

 

Met Council, Saint Paul HRA seek developer for Central Station block

The Met Council and the City of Saint Paul Housing and Redevelopment Authority are searching for a developer for a prime, undeveloped property in the heart of downtown Saint Paul. This week the partners issued an RFP for the Central Station Redevelopment Site. Learn more about this opportunity.
