Proof of vaccination form now available

Beginning Oct. 11, in order to report to onsite work, Met Council employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or get weekly COVID-19 tests and test negative. Employees who are vaccinated must submit documentation to Human Resources to verify vaccination status.

The form for submitting proof of vaccination is now available in Employee Self Service (ESS): https://pspess.metc.state.mn.us.

Acceptable forms of proof of vaccination

The record must have your name, date of birth, date(s) you received the COVID-19 vaccine, and type of vaccine received. Acceptable proof of vaccination includes:

  • Your COVID-19 vaccination record card from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) (received at your vaccination appointment)
  • Immunization record from the Minnesota Department of Health’s Minnesota Immunization Information Connection (MIIC)
  • Vaccination record from your doctor’s office

How to submit proof of vaccination:

  1. Before you begin, save an electronic copy of your proof of vaccination where you’ll be able to access it and in one of the following file types: .PDF, .GIF, .PNG, .JPEG, .JPG, .TIFF, or .BMP.
  2. Log into ESS and navigate to the form: Main Menu > Self Service > Personal Information > MetC Vaccination Card.
  3. Upload a copy of your proof of vaccination, fill out the additional fields regarding your vaccination, and hit "Submit."

Vaccinated employees are asked to complete this form in ESS as soon as possible. Getting an accurate count of vaccinated staff will help the pandemic Incident Command team as they obtain the testing kits for the Oct. 11 start date for staff reporting to work onsite who are not fully vaccinated.

Read Monday's all-staff email for more on this process.

Coming in 2022: New flex spending accounts administrator

Beginning Jan. 1, Total Administrative Services Corporation (TASC) will be managing the flexible spending accounts (FSA) for the Met Council. This means your health care, dependent care, and parking accounts will be managed on a new debit card and in a new system – no longer through HealthPartners.

New debit card for FSA funds

Employees enrolled in FSA plans will get a new TASC debit card for these funds. Watch for more information on debit cards from TASC later this year.

Note that HRA will continue to be administered by HealthPartners. If you are enrolled in the Empower HRA plan and in one of the FSA plans, your current HealthPartners debit card will continue to be used for HRA funds in 2022, but you will get a new debit card to use for FSA plans.

New system for managing FSAs

Employees enrolled in FSA plans will manage their accounts through the TASC website. These plans will no longer be tracked in their HealthPartners online account.

If you have leftover funds at the end of this year, they will roll over (up to $550) at the end of the claims processing period (March 31) and will roll to your TASC account. To avoid having to keep track of two pools of money during this overlap period between HealthPartners and TASC, you may want to take steps to use all your 2021 money before Dec. 31.

And remember to make your FSA election during open enrollment this fall. You are not automatically re-enrolled. If you do not make an election, you will not have an FSA next year.

This week’s focus is all about exploring our regional parks!

Did you know that we have access to more than 27,000 miles of trails and parks here in Minnesota? Consider hiking or biking on a new-to-you trail this week.
