Life insurance presentation coming July 14

Do you have enough life insurance? How much is enough?

These are tough questions the Benefits unit will be presenting, in partnership with Minnesota Life/Securian, to provide expert information on life insurance in general, what the Met Council offers, and how to determine what you need.

This will also kick off a special enrollment period the Met Council is offering, allowing employees to increase the amount of supplemental life insurance they elected. This special enrollment period will allow employees to increase their supplemental life insurance up to $40,000 with no Evidence of Insurability. If you elect to increase more than $40,000, it will require an Evidence of Insurability.

Wednesday, July 14

11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Microsoft Teams

Mark your calendars to learn more about this important benefit. An Outlook calendar invite to the Teams has been sent. If you can't attend, the presentation will be recorded and posted on the HR Benefits page on MetNet.

Human Resources is seeking new members for the "Beyond the Yellow Ribbon" committee

The "Beyond the Yellow Ribbon" program was initiated in 2007 to recognize companies and communities that proactively create a workplace culture that supports and meets the needs of service members, veterans, and military families.

Human Resources is seeking new members to help honor the Met Council's veterans and service members. The committee organizes activities to support veterans and returning troops and meets approximately once per quarter.

If you are interested in joining the committee or want to get more information, please contact Nancy Jennings. Supervisor approval is needed.

Probationary reviews are now in Perform

Development of the Perform module continues, and starting July 1 probationary performance reviews will be completed electronically through the Perform system.

Managers will see three-month and six-month probationary reviews on their Perform dashboard, and each evaluation will have its own set of tasks and reminders, just like the annual performance evaluation.
