Manager workshops start next week
The ability to recognize and appropriately respond to cultural differences in conflict styles is crucial to effectively manage and resolve conflicts.
The pre-Leadership Forum workshop “Intercultural Conflict Styles” invites managers to explore a shared meaning of conflict, dimensions of conflict, and bridging across differences in times of emotional upset.
This session is a follow-up to the Foundations of Intercultural Competence training, which introduced a continuum model for personal experiences of cultural difference and commonality. This helps people gain insight about personal communication and conflict resolution approaches. A bonus feature of the workshop is the opportunity for managers to assess their own intercultural conflict styles via an online conflict styles inventory.
This training is required for managers and supervisors. Workshops are filling up quickly, and the times are first come, first served. Manager approval is required to hold a seat in these sessions.
