Self-care and mental health go hand in hand, yet many of us prioritize our physical health over our mental health. When we don’t feel well with a stomach bug, allergic reaction, or joint pain, we see a doctor or take time to rest and recuperate. But when we’re having a hard day emotionally or mentally, we often feel the need to put on a happy face, ignore our thoughts and feelings, and are hesitant to give ourselves the same needed care.
For on-demand self-care tools, visit Mental Health America. Our minds are just as, if not more, important than our bodies. Let’s all be sure we’re taking care of both equally.
If you’d like more personal assistance in caring for your mental health, Sand Creek EAP offers four private, confidential counseling sessions, at no cost to you. For more information call directly at 1-888-243-5744 or visit www.sandcreekeap.com.

The Talent Management team continues to look for avenues to reach job seekers, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been exploring virtual job fairs. At these events, we present information to the participants about the Met Council, the work we do, our benefits, job opportunities, and our application process. Participants are also able to engage with Talent Management staff one on one or in a group setting.
