Understandably, the spread of COVID-19 has raised questions about the status and progress of the Gold Line project. Our priority is to keep our staff healthy and safe, so we are following these guidelines set by Metropolitan Council:
• All Gold Line outreach events and non-essential meetings have been canceled or postponed through April. • Essential meetings will be conducted remotely. • Project office staff are working at home but continuing to coordinate with agency and community partners to move the project forward. • For questions about Gold Line, Community Outreach Coordinator, Liz Jones, is available by phone or email during this time, 651-602-1977 or elizabeth.jones@metrotransit.org.
While the response to COVID-19 continues to evolve, we will monitor conditions and share updates with the community using electronic communication methods. To receive updates, make sure you are signed-up to receive Gold Line email updates available through metrotransit.org/gold-line or follow us on Twitter @GoldLineBRT.
Gold Line staff continue to make progress on the project design. Recently, the project’s design plans reached a milestone of about 30% complete and are now available to view on the project website. Take a look at the updated design plans and then submit comments or questions to project staff either through the project website or contact Liz Jones: 651-602-1977 elizabeth.jones@metrotransit.org. Stay tuned for more information on the 30% design plans in the upcoming weeks.
