The METRO Gold Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project needs your point of view for our Community and Business Advisory Committee. The committee, composed of local residents and business representatives, advises the Metropolitan Council on how future Gold Line stations can best serve the neighborhoods and businesses by providing the community perspective on the project design, engineering, outreach, construction and operations. The committee also serves as an information resource about the community and liaison to the neighborhoods and businesses the line will serve.
We are particularly seeking people who live or work roughly one-half mile from Gold Line stations, as well as people from diverse backgrounds and with diverse perspectives to fill the following vacant positions:
• Residents and business representatives from various Gold Line station areas in Saint Paul, Landfall, Oakdale and Woodbury • At-Large Ramsey County representative • At-Large Washington County representative
To apply for an open position, complete an online form or download an application form on the project website. Submit applications, request a mailed paper copy and direct any questions to Gold Line Community Outreach Coordinator Liz Jones at elizabeth.jones@metrotransit.org or 651-602-1977. Applications are due by Nov. 15.
Committee members are selected by elected and appointed officials from along the Gold Line corridor. Members serve for two years. There will be approximately four meetings per year at a time that works best for most participants, with opportunities for additional neighborhood-specific involvement. The next committee meeting is expected to be held in February 2020.

In case you missed it, The Bulletin in Woodbury published an article in early October sharing how Woodbury residents expect to use and get to Gold Line stations. The article also shares information that the Gold Line project collected from the community during the station design work earlier this year. Check out the engagement summary for more information on station design outreach and how people intend to access and use the Gold Line stations.
