Food and beverage options continue to expand at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport's (MSP) Terminal 1 as three more dining venues are now reopen.
The Cook and The Ox, a steakhouse with local ties, is open from noon to 9 p.m. each day in the airport mall, near the north security checkpoint.
Inside, guests will find a wide-ranging menu featuring premium steak, salmon, walleye and fish and chips. Try the lobster mac n ’cheese and lobster poutine for an indulgent savory treat. A full wine and cocktail menu is also available.
The remodeled Lake Wine is a short walk down the mall, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner in a warm, relaxing setting. Guests will enjoy an expanded bar area, cheese and charcuterie plates, soups, salads, sandwiches, small plates and a full bar. And still on the menu – strawberry chardonnay butter for your pancakes. Delicious.

Catch a glimpse of the thriving Minneapolis art scene via a new exhibit recently installed at MSP Airport’s (MSP) Terminal 1.
The “Chroma: A Spectrum of Beauty” rotating exhibit in the Concourse C Art Gallery features 81 works from 59 artists based in Northeast Minneapolis.
The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District was recently named the No. 1 arts district in the U.S. by the national newspaper, USA Today. The nearly 20-year-old arts district is centered around the Northrup King Building where some 1,200 artists have studio space and in several other nearby artist studio buildings.
This exhibit marks the third curated installation from the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District at MSP in recent years. But this exhibit is by far the largest at 300 feet in length and five glass display cases.
The exhibit is also a great demonstration of how the Airport Foundation MSP and Arts@MSP program – in tandem with the Metropolitan Airports Commission and local arts communities – showcase the best talent from the Upper Midwest. The Chroma installation is one of 19 rotating exhibits at MSP this year and will be on display through December 2022.
Stop by to see the exhibit on Concourse C – or view some of the artwork on the Airport Foundation MSP website.

Summer is in its final month, back-to-school preparation is underway and the Minnesota State Fair is only nine days away. Summer travelers are still busy fitting in a trip out of MSP. With that pent-up demand in mind, we have an ongoing survey that gauges attitudes about air travel, and your answers are helping shape the MSP experience.
One thing we already know: Travel is back. Our surveys are now showing that 88 percent of respondents would be willing to get on a plane tomorrow, a figure that's almost triple what it was at the start of the pandemic.
Even if you’ve already taken the survey, please consider taking it again, as your thoughts and answers may have changed over time. We also add new questions each month. This month, we're asking "Do you plan to travel between now and year's end? If so, where?"
Among topics that survey takers have shown an interest in: MSP's safety initiatives related to the pandemic, which are a part of our Travel Confidently MSP program.
