While the COVID-19 pandemic proved challenging at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in 2021, last year did mark growth in the number of people working at the airport and in the number of security badges issued.
The full-year statistics from the Badging Office for 2021 remain below the 2019, pre-pandemic peak. However, we continued to see growth in 2021 and are hopeful for continued safe operations in 2022 and growth in the number of airport passengers and employees.

Please keep an eye on your email inbox for instructions on how to register for 2022 Annual Signer Retraining. This training is required each year for all company Signers.
The training will take place over the next few months, and will be conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams, with a few classes available in-person.
As we move further into the recovery from the pandemic and hiring activity increases, it’s important to go through your list of employees and identify those who are on a leave-of-absence.
Many employees were placed on leave during the pandemic, and this is a good time to revisit whether their security badge has expired.
You can use the Signer Portal to access all the information about your roster of employees and check their status.
If you find employees who are no longer active but still have a security badge, please notify the Badging Office at badging@mspmac.org and return the expired badges.
