In recent months, Signers have received multiple emails alerting you to the new online badge application process available to your company, your new hires and employees who are renewing their security badges.
Employers who have tried the new online system give it positive reviews. To gain efficiency, we’d like to see the number of users increase faster than it has so far. The use of paper applications results in delays compared to the online process.
We’re aware that many employers are comfortable with the paper application process, and many meet with prospective employees at the Badging Office to fill out paperwork – not in their offices, near a computer -- as their airport offices are on the secure side.
Still, the benefits to switching to the electronic application process are numerous, and it’s worthwhile to review your paperwork flow with employees to find a way to move to the digital application process. The online process involves employers sending employees the application forms to fill out via email, saving Signers’ time.
Also, the online process prevents rejections of applications due to incorrect dates or missing signatures, among other improvements. It’s faster, more efficient, and more accurate.
As a reminder, all companies at MSP are now able to use both the Signer Portal and the online badge application process.
