As the effects of COVID-19 continue to impact Minnesota and the world, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) has continued its partnership continues to partner with the State of Minnesota to provide COVID-19 vaccinations at the airport, as well as free testing.
The vaccination sites – one at each terminal – use the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine. The vaccine is offered at no cost.
At Terminal 2, the site is pre-security and is open to the public. At Terminal 1, the site is post-security, meaning it is available only to ticketed passengers with a boarding pass, or to badged MSP employees.
For passengers looking for a COVID-19 test, MSP offers both a state-provided saliva-testing service (free to residents), and a private, rapid-test service that’s convenient for travelers headed to destinations that requires a negative test result.
Full information about MSP Airport's COVID-19 testing locations is available at this link.

The latest video in the Metropolitan Airports Commission's "Meet the Fleet" series is now available, highlighting the Boeing 737-800.
The video features Sun Country Airlines Chief Pilot Casey Potter providing details about the 737's features -- inside and out -- for aviation buffs and passengers alike.
The Boeing 737 aircraft family is the most commonly flown narrow-body jet in the United States. Preliminary design work for the original B737-100 started in 1964 and the first aircraft entered service in 1968.
The 737-800 represents more than 20 percent of the aircraft operating at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP), and the plane is flown by eight different airlines serving MSP.
At the Metropolitan Airports Commission's Community Connections/aircraft noise page, you can also find links to videos about the Airbus A220 and the CRJ-900 aircraft by scrolling down to the bottom.
Turo is a car-sharing company that's sometimes referred to as the Airbnb of the rental car industry, and it's now on-site at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).
A selection of vehicles from Turo's digital app is now available for pickup on Level 6 of the Red parking ramp at Terminal 1.
Turo has been in business since 2010 and facilitates rentals in about 5,500 cities worldwide. A wide variety of vehicles are available. A valid driver’s license is required.
Turo rentals have been available at MSP previously, but users of the app needed to coordinate a pick-up of the vehicle from the owner. The on-site vehicles offer customers more convenience.
Guests start the Turo rental process with a visit to the Turo app or website. The process is similar to that of a traditional rental car company, including the availability of trip-specific insurance, though the vehicles are owned by individuals and being rented to you. Online reviews of individual vehicle providers are available on the Turo app, as well.
Renters can also call 415-965-4525 to speak with a representative.

As you trim the tree and wrap packages, you may find your mind drifting to other winter-time activities -- namely, a flight to warmer weather.
The winter air travel season is practically here, and this is a popular time for Upper Midwest residents to start booking trips.
MSP Airport continues to solicit input from prospective travelers via a survey that gauges attitudes about and interest in air travel. The answers help shape the MSP travel experience as the COVID-19 era becomes more manageable.
Even if you’ve already taken the survey, please consider taking it again, as your thoughts and answers may have changed over time.
Survey takers have shown interest in MSP's safety initiatives, such as the increased presence of hand sanitizer dispensers, the face mask requirement and the airport’s efforts to increase physical distancing. All of those efforts are part of the airport's Travel Confidently program.
We appreciate your continued interest in helping us make air travel as safe and comfortable as possible.
