Between 100 and 180 people are signing up for badging appointments every day. However, nearly a quarter of those people are not showing up for their appointments.
While it is great news that so many people wish to work at MSP, when people don’t show up for their appointment, other prospective employees end up having to book appointments much further out than they should have to, leading to a cycle of people dropping out of process because it is taking too long to get an appointment.
Another reason for delays in the badging process is that people are making mistakes on their applications leading to them to be rejected. People are also bringing in laminated Social Security cards. We cannot accept any laminated IDs.
We all know we’re dealing with a very tough recruiting environment right now. Don’t let your hard work go to waste. Be sure your new and existing employees are following procedures for getting a security badge, and that they show up for their appointments.
If an employee needs to cancel their appointment, please instruct them to do so with as much advance notice as possible by following the instructions on the confirmation text they received after they initially scheduled the appointment.
