Valet parking service returns to MSP on Sunday, Aug. 1, when the newly remodeled space reopens at Terminal 1.
Though still at the same location, valet customers pulling up to the newly renovated space will notice a bright new look and welcoming entrance, with Kasota limestone on the walls and slip-resistant granite flooring.
In the lobby, mosaics adorn the seating area and the new hallway leading to the restrooms.
All elevators serving the center portion of the terminal stop at the Valet level.
To enter the Valet Parking service at Terminal 1, follow the signs on the inbound roadway that lead to a left-hand turn as you approach the terminal building.

MSP Airport (MSP) was recently named the top airport in the Digital Airport Index of North America by Mijksenaar, a global architectural and wayfinding design firm.
The index assesses a number of factors in ranking the digital assets of individual airports, including Wi-Fi connectivity, interactive maps, digital wayfinding, self-service automation and website features.
MSP was the only airport to receive a four-star rating from Mijksenaar. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) were all ranked in the No. 2 spot with 3.5-star ratings.
MSP has invested heavily in recent years to upgrade its digital assets. Among the most visible recent improvements:
- The launch of Prebooked Parking at MSP Airport, which allows travelers to book parking before they fly and save $2 per day.
- Continued upgrades to its Wi-Fi connectivity that have led to significant improvements in MSP’s Airport Service Quality scores.
- The launch of the MSP ASAP online ordering platform that allows travelers to order food and have it delivered to them.

Since March 2020, the booth had been located in a niche next to the Prince store in the Airport Mall. Now anyone, with or without a ticket to fly, can visit the kiosk.
The REAL ID booth hours are 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is closed for lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day.

It’s not too late to get vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) is partnering with the State of Minnesota to provide the shots at the airport.
The vaccination sites – one at each terminal – use the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine. The vaccine is offered at no cost to all passengers. At Terminal 2, the site is pre-security and is open to everyone. At Terminal 1, the site is post-security, meaning it is available only to ticketed passengers with a boarding pass, or to badged MSP employees.
Full information on the vaccination sites is available here. The vaccine is available at MSP through Saturday, August 7.

(C) 2020, Jen Lewin
The Aurora, which debuted in MSP's Terminal 1 in February, is a 29-foot-high interactive glass and metal artwork that has been capturing travelers' imaginations ever since.
The aerial wave of LEDs encased in hand-blown glass bulbs provides an inspiring light show programmed to change color patterns along with Minnesota’s constantly changing weather. Below the two-level artwork, young and old can join the show, triggering swirling light and color changes as they walk, or dance, on a cluster of reflective glass platforms representing public lakes in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
The Aurora is a commissioned piece by Jen Lewin, an internationally renowned new media and interactive sculptor.
To celebrate this achievement, the Metropolitan Airports Commission and Airport Foundation MSP have just released “Creating The Aurora,” an inspiring documentary video that captures the full journey of the project, from design and construction to installation and activation.
Momentum for air travel continues to build and we want to know what you're thinking as the summer travel season reaches its peak.
MSP Airport is soliciting input from would-be travelers via a survey that gauges attitudes about and interest in air travel. The answers help shape the MSP travel experience as the COVID-19 era begins to wane.
Even if you’ve already taken the survey, please feel free to take it again, as your thoughts and answers may have changed over time.
Survey takers have shown interest in MSP's safety initiatives, such as the increased presence of hand sanitizer dispensers, the face mask requirement and the airport’s efforts to increase physical distancing. All of those efforts are part of the airport's Travel Confidently program.
Thank you for your continued interest in helping us make air travel as safe and comfortable as possible.
