With the COVID-19 pandemic as its backdrop, the year 2020 will be remembered as a particularly difficult time.
We know businesses at MSP Airport continue to work through adversity, and we deeply appreciate your ongoing attention to detail in all aspects of the badging process.
As always, the safety and security of the airport is the top priority at MSP, and your collaboration and partnership with the Badging Office is critical to the airport’s daily operations.
As we move into 2021, we look forward to working with you to keep MSP operating smoothly when passenger traffic starts to rebound.

In response to airport employer requests, the Metropolitan Airports Commission recently expanded the hours of the Terminal 1 employee security portal.
The portal now opens at 4 a.m. every day - an hour earlier than previously - and closes at 10 p.m.
Starting, Saturday, Jan. 9, the portal will be open 24 hours a day.
At Terminal 2, the employee security portal continues to be open 24 hours a day.

The Badging Office continues to see an increase in the number of expired badges that have not been returned – resulting in numerous $200 fines being assessed.
If any of your employees are on furlough or have been terminated, there are procedures for deactivating or returning their badge that need to be followed.
A great way to monitor expiration dates is to regularly check the Signer Portal for expired badges. This will help prevent fines and enable a smooth return to work for furloughed employees, and consistent operations for your business.
