New for you; Joe & The Juice on Concourse C

Joe

Joe & The Juice, a brand new option for made-to-order juices and signature coffee at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, is now open on Concourse C near Gate C1.

The popular fresh-pressed juice and coffee brand is known for its hip, energetic ambiance and pressed rye-bread sandwiches that can accompany its extensive drink offerings.

If you’re not in a hurry, plan to dine inside to take in the great airfield views and natural sunlight. Or, take a seat across from the restaurant and watch as people flock to its counter.

The airport’s Joe & The Juice is the first in Minnesota, but the brand is a well-known international hot spot, with more than 300 locations in Europe, N. America, Asia and Australia.

New security exit opens on Concourse G, Sept. 16

Travelers arriving at MSP Airport will notice a new exit to the baggage claim level at Terminal 1 starting Monday evening, September 16, which includes two elevators to improve accessibility.

The new security exit, located next to Shoyu restaurant near the entrance to Concourse G, will replace the current south security exit, located across from Stone Arch restaurant and bar.

Signs will guide travelers to the new exit, which also has two escalators and a stairway. On the baggage claim level, automatic exit technology will take the place of the staffed exit.

The new security exit will place travelers at the far south end of the baggage claim level (near Carousel 2), eliminating the need for them to determine if their baggage carousel is to the right or the left as they enter that level, thus smoothing passenger flow.

In time, the former exit space on the Airport Mall will house a new concession and provide access to a delivery hallway. On the baggage claim level, the space formerly occupied by escalators will eventually hold a larger baggage carousel.

AtYourGate and Grab offer fast-dining options for MSP travelers

at your gate delivery

Hungry travelers at MSP Airport who find themselves crunched for time now have dining options that can keep them on the move.

Two airport dining-related apps are now in use at MSP and growing in popularity.

AtYourGate allows travelers to order food from participating airport restaurants and have it delivered within Terminal 1.

“We pick up your order and deliver to locations across Terminal 1,” said Matheus Krause de Arruda Palmeira, the associate director of AtYourGate at MSP.

AtYourGate employees are frequently spotted moving quickly through the terminal with meals in hand, bringing orders to passengers and airport employees.

Deliveries from AtYourGate go out as far as the Transit Center on the non-secure side at Terminal 1. The fee for delivery is $2.99 per order.

You can find the AtYourGate app in the iPhone and Android app stores.

Another new app is Grab, which allows travelers to order food from participating MSP restaurants ahead of their arrival and skip the line. Grab’s service is available at more than 35 airports across the U.S.

The app allows travelers to search for the type of food their craving, or search by restaurant. Once the order is placed, travelers will head to the restaurant and its designated Grab pickup location, where their order will be waiting. There are no additional fees to use the service, and the app is also found in the iPhone and Android app stores.

“Mobile ordering at an airport is becoming the norm for time-strapped passengers, especially when you’re trying to make a connection,” said Jeff Livney, Grab’s chief experience officer. “We’re excited to have our service available at MSP.”

For business travelers, Grab receipts can be seamlessly forwarded to Concur or Expensify, popular expense-reporting programs.

Both apps have a favorites area and will keep payment methods stored, making it all the more easy to fuel up for the journey.

Wings Financial relocates in Terminal 1; now on Concourse C

wings

The Wings Financial Credit Union branch formerly located in the ticketing lobby of Terminal 1 recently moved to Concourse C near Gate C3.

Renovation work at the front of Terminal 1 and the queuing area for the South Security Checkpoint required Wings’ relocation.

“Our history is aviation and being by a Delta gate is a good fit for us,” said Sylvia Zabel, the manager of Wings' MSP Airport branch.

The new location has a Personal Teller, enabling members to have an interactive banking session with a live teller. The Personal Teller allows members to use a headset and a keypad to communicate privately, and the screen isn’t visible to others in the area.

Personal Teller service is available from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Branch staff will also be available during regular business hours, which are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

ATM services will be available at the branch 24/7.

Wings was founded in 1938 by seven airline employees. There are 24 locations in Minnesota, and additional branches in four other states. For more information, visit wingsfinancial.com. Wings Financial is federally insured by the NCUA.
