The MSP Job Fair held Aug. 29 drew a crowd to Terminal
2-Humphrey, as dozens of job-seekers and 23 airport businesses gathered to make
connections.
The variety of employers present at the event included
restaurants, retail stores, airport logistics, MAC and airline and
aviation-related businesses.
“We were delighted by the turnout at the job fair and happy
to bring together applicants and employers,” said Liz Grzechowiak, the
assistant director of concessions and business development for the Metropolitan
Airports Commission. “MSP is a great place to work with strong wages and
benefits and immense flexibility. Job fair attendees could see for themselves
the wide range of opportunities that businesses here offer.”

If you’re in the market for a more professional-looking
headshot photo, an easy solution awaits you at MSP International Airport.
An Iris photo booth recently opened at the airport on
Concourse C, and it gives travelers the chance to take a new headshot and edit
it to their specifications.
The private booth offers an option to pay on site or pay
online before you arrive. The client is seated facing a screen and on-screen
instructions guide you through the process. A foot pedal that you control is used to snap the photos.
You then choose your favorite photo to edit. A number of changes are available, including whitening your teeth, hiding blemishes and
softening skin tone. Other options are available online later.

When you’re done, you can log onto IRIS’s website to download, edit and share your new photo.

The last week of August marked MSP International Airport's
"Celebrate Success" event to recognize people who work for a variety
of businesses across the airport campus for their outstanding customer service.
The event followed two awards that MSP won last spring. Skytrax
ranked MSP as tops in the U.S. for staff service in its 2016 World Airport
Awards. That survey utilized 13.82 million airport questionnaires completed at
550 airports worldwide.

The Skytrax survey evaluates traveler experiences across different airport service and product performance indicators, from check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security and immigration, through departures at the gate.
Also last spring, Airports Council International ranked MSP No. 1 in North America for an airport in our size category. That win was also based on customer surveys.
Approximately 19,000 people work in jobs directly related to MSP Airport operations, including airline employees and contractors, federal security and immigration workers, concessionaires, MAC employees and many others.
