The Office of the Foster Youth Ombudsperson handles complaints from anyone, prioritizing concerns from young people about their rights, care, safety, and placement in Minnesota foster care, including youth in Extended Foster Care and those who have recently aged out of care.

The Minnesota House of Representatives will be hearing the Foster Youth Bill of Rights on the floor THIS SATURDAY (5/16). Let them know you support HF3024/SF3154! Please forward this call to action to your networks.
What can YOU do?

Attend the hearing this Saturday, 5/16/26, starting at 12 pm on the House floor, located in the Capitol building. OOFY staff and community members will be there. We hope to see you!

Please note, we do not know when the FYBOR will be on the docket. The hearing starts at 12pm, but the bill may not be heard for a while after that. We will update folks as we hear more information.
