The partial Federal government shutdown is impacting the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program/SNAP program, also known as the food support program. Counties have been asked by the State of Minnesota to issue February food benefits early.
To do so, Olmsted County Family Support and Assistance, located at 2117 Campus Drive Southeast in Rochester, will be open on Saturday, January 12th from 10am-4:30pm and Sunday, January 13th from 10am -4:30pm. During this time, Olmsted County staff will process applications, renewals, and other paperwork needed to determine February SNAP benefits. No other services will be available during this time.
It is critical that individuals and families who need to apply or renew their SNAP application contact Olmsted County Family Support and Assistance, now!
